                Sophie's P.O.V.

The summer heat kept getting more and more unbearable so I decided to spend some time out of the house. And I did not mean spending time by the pool in the garden but at the beach instead. I’ve already asked the other members of my family if they wanted to join me. They surely did. Everyone was extremely excited about going to the beach- though we used to visit the coast quite often. The kids were always the happiest when I told ‘em to get their stuff because we were leaving. Well, Matty was usually happy as well- he was glad because the children were too.

The preparing lasted quite long since I was always the one to pack the other’s bags as well. To sum it up, it was my task to pack four bags. Plus the food and drinks. But the blame is on me- I came up with the idea of going to the beach. Great job, Sophie!

“Mum! Can we finally leave?” my youngest (five years-old) little daughter came running towards me all dressed up in her sweet pink swimsuit- decorated by my dear friend, Liv of course. She was holding her cute heart-shaped sunglasses in her hands.

“Relax, Tam” I smiled at her as I put four towels into one of the bags “Let’s check on Patrick, Darling. Ask him if he needs any help”
“But I dun wanna help him” he cried out and snapped with one of her feet “I wanna leaaaaaave”
“Darling, don’t be like that” I bent down to face her. I placed one of my hands on her tiny face and stroke her cheeks “Your brother doesn’t know how to pack. You do. Please?” I smiled again. I knew that I would win her this way. She had to be needed.

“Fine” she sighed and walked out of the bathroom, straight towards Patrick’s room. I quickly finished packing the important stuff- such as towels, swimsuits, flip-flops, sun cream, cards, mattresses, some food and drinks. I grabbed the two bags that I packed- the other two were the children’s- and began to walk down the stairs.

“Let me help, babe” I heard Matty rushing towards me and quickly got the bags out of my hands.

“You’re ready?” I asked with a smile on my face as I was walking right beside him on the stairs.

“Sure. Well, I didn’t have to pack a thing” he winked at me. I didn’t have any time to answer; I heard my seven-years-old son’s footsteps from upstairs. He showed up soon, wearing his new, dark blue swimming pants.

“Dad!” he yelled “I can’t find my ball!”
“Tam surely knows where it is. Ask her, kido” Matty said as he turned his head.

“She doesn’t know either” he said with a really really sad face “But you know which one I’m talking about, don’t you?” he asked hoping that his dad’s gonna know.

“Umm” Matty hesitated “The little ball of yours, huh? With the basketball-shape?”
“Yeah! That one!” he smiled “So you know where it is??”
“Sorry, kido. I don’t” Matty shook his shoulders.

“Damn” Pat hissed and walked back into his room all sadly.

“OK. Now” I sighed standing in the huge living room of ours “You-“ I looked at Matty “Let’s change into swimming suit. You-“ I pointed at Tamara who was standing on the top of the stairs “Come down here, and bring your bag. And You, Mister-“ I almost shouted so Patrick would hear me too “Forget the ball and bring your stuff! We’ll get another ball, just let’s go now!” I sighed again. It was really making me tired to take care of the whole family.

“And you, beautiful-” Matty grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to his body “You need you relax”
“I am relaxed” I said shaking my head.

“Of course you are” Matty nodded and leant towards me to kiss me on the lips.

The beach was amazing- as it usually was. The water was gorgeous, the sand was perfect and the sun was shining like it was meant to. Matty and I dropped our bags on the sand and he immediately got rid of his tank top and his shorts. The kids got ready in minutes as well. I was the only one left- still in my clothes because someone had to pack out the things.

“Daddy! Daddy!” Tamara grabbed the hem of Matty’s swimming pants and began to drag it.

“What’s the matter, princess?” he looked down at T’s excited face.
“Can we go into the water now?” she asked impatiently.

“Just a second, Tam” Matty nodded as he took a look at me, then added “I’m helping Mommy. You two can check the water” he smiled nodding towards the blueness.

“Thank you, Daddy” Tamara clapped their hands in excitement and began to run up to Patrick. The little girl grabbed his hands and dragged him into the water.
“What can I help you with, babe?” Matty winked at me and took the towels out of the bag.

“Umm” I hesitated “Hmm, give me a kiss” I smiled at him.

“With pleasure” he smirked at me and kissed me like he always does. Sweet. However, we arranged everything and I finally got the chance to brag with the new swimming suit of mine. I bought it a week ago with Liv and it was the first time I had the chance to try it. As I took off my white dress, I saw Matty almost drooling over me.

“Wow” he breathed out “You look gorgeous”

“Thanks” I smiled “Now let’s get to the kids” as I spoke, Matty took my hand and we walked on the sand, straight into the water where the children were playing.

“Mum! Dad!” I heard Pat calling out our names “C’mere! We’re here!” he kept waving at us.

“Yeah, see you, kido” Matty laughed.

“The water is excellent” Tamara stated as she appeared on the surface again. She was such a water-lover.

“Watch out, guys! The shark is coming!” Matty shouted as he jumped right towards the kids. They began to swim as far as possible while still screaming. I loved watching them fooling around. My lovely, handsome husband with my two wonderful children. Matty was keep chasing them- but letting them win of course. Sometimes he grabbed their legs or arms and dropped them into the water. They always reappeared on the surface with a huge smile on their faces. They enjoyed it really much.

“Mum!” I saw Tamara swimming up to me. Though she was only 5, she could swim better than a few of 10 years-olds.
“What’s it, Darling?” I asked taking her hand so she could rest.

“Can I get the mattress?” she asked gasping.

“Sure” I nodded and pulled the light pink object that I was holding in my hands, towards her. She climbed onto it easily and laid on it enjoying the sun. I watched the two guys of mine still chasing each other and pushing each other under the water as I saw- from the corner of my eye-my little girl relaxing.
“Muuuuuum! Muuuuum, help!” Pat cried out still laughing. I saw him getting closer to me- with his dad right after him.

“Daddy’s gonna catch me! Heeeeelp!” his voice was breaking by the laugh and it made me laugh as well. I held out my hand so he could reach it. I grabbed him and pulled him against my body.

“HAHA” he laughed into Matty’s face who almost caught Pat “Mum is safe haven!”
“She surely is” Matty placed his hands on my hips under the water and pulled us both closer to him. She gave me a soft kiss. And another one. And one more.

“Yuuuuuuk” I hears Tammy’s voice “Please, stop it”

“Stop what?” I looked at her with an innocent smile.

“Making out… Get a room instead” Patrick added and pulled himself away from us. My eyes widened. And so did Matty’s. What did my little son just say?!

“How do you two know these things, huh?” he asked surprised.

“Uncle Harry and Aunt Liv told us a lot of things” Patrick said looking back at us.

“What? When?” I asked shortly.

“Last week I guess” Tamara said “Ya know, when we were over to play with Darcy” she added. I didn’t know that a single afternoon spent with Liv’s and Harry’s daughter would mean this much. What a good idea it was…

“And what else did Uncle Harry and Aunt Liv tell you, kido?” Matty asked Pat with a curious smile.

“A lot” he answered “About how a baby is made, how much it takes to give birth…”
“Oh my God” I sighed. I’m gonna kill these two.

“Don’t worry, babe” Matty ran his hands all over my back to get me relaxed. Then he kept speaking to the kids “And hey. Why were you talking about these things?”
“I dunno” Patrick shook his shoulders “It all came with the question How do you know that you’re in love?” I had to admit, it was cute. But I’m still gonna kill them.

“Come here, kido” Matty grabbed Patrick’s shoulders and lifted him up, then dropped him into the water.

“Superwoman is coming! Don’t worry bro, I’ll save you!” Tamara cried out and she jumped in as well. God, I loved them so much.

“What was it?” Matty asked when both kids came up on the surface. He was pointing about one meter away from them.

“What? Didn’t see” Tamara was keep looking at the water that was still.

“I guess it was some fish” Patrick said with self-confidence. He was such a smart boy, just like his father [haha].

“Yeah, I’m sure it was” Matty nodded and grabbed Pat again. He threw him into the water while yelling “Get some fishes, kido!”

“Oh, you’re here too, princess?” he smiled as he saw Tamara standing next to him. As he said it, Tammy began to swim away but this time Matty way faster. He threw her into the water as well saying “C’mon, bring Daddy some fishes!”
I couldn’t handle it, I burst out laughing.
“You’re ridiculous” I laughed.

“That’s why you love me, beautiful” he swam towards me and kissed me all over again. But as soon as he let go of my lips, I could feel his large hands on my shoulder, pulling me underwater with himself.
“Daddy, stop!” I heard Tamara’s loud voice, even under the water.

“I’m coming to save ya, Mum!” Patrick added and I knew they would be right on Matty’s back in less than a second. And that was the time when the war started.

Sophie's P.O.V.

I was absolutely ready to leave. I was all dressed up- as much as I had to. Since it was an extremely hot summer day, I didn’t wanna wear too much of clothing on myself. I put my favorite strapless black dress on with a pair of high heels. I let my middle-long hair just down, I looked amazing anyways.

“Well, I’m leaving!” I said loudly enough to my boyfriend to hear it. Matty was sitting on the couch in our living room downstairs watching a football match.

“Okay, beautiful” he said without breaking the gaze towards the TV screen. Then he suddenly turned his head towards me “Wait, where are you going?” he asked surprised.

“Out. Girly night with Liv, don’t remember?” I asked back while checking myself in the mirror.

“You haven’t said a word about it” he shook his head stubbornly.

“But I have. Many times” I let out a sigh and walked up to him “Whatever, I won’t stay till late at night”

“Sure” he nodded and got up from the couch to give me a kiss. It was sweet- as usual. But before he let me go, he checked me out.

“You wanted to leave in this dress?” he asked. I saw his eyes growing wild.

“Yeah, I still do. Why?” I asked back. I really didn’t know what his problem was with my dress.

“You gotta change, babe” he stated with his eyes kept on me.

“What? Why?” I almost yelled.

“I’m not letting you go wearing a dress that shows this much of your pretty skin” he said with a lovely smirk on his face. He slowly let his hands slide down on my thighs. The feeling of his warm hands gave me goose bumps.

“Come on, M. It’s just a dress. And I’m only meeting Liv. Not a big deal” I stayed on my own side.

“Where are you two going by the way?” he posed one more question.

“Just down to the Wave. Told ya, just a usual night” I explained. The Wave was our favorite bar of all times. The area was great, the people were nice, the music was perfect and the drinks were always good as well.
“Fine” he sighed and leant towards me for another kiss “You know, I just don’t wanna have all those boys drooling over you”

“Why would they?” I teased and bit my bottom lip.

“You know, baby girl” he looked all over me again “I can’t even keep my hands off you” he said while sliding his hands from my thighs through my butt, straight up on my back “What do you think those damn boys would do to you, huh?”

“You’re being ridiculous” I laughed and gave a tiny kiss on his lips before I grabbed my bag.

“Hope you’ll be home early” he winked at me from the doorway “I’m in the mood. Definitely” he smirked.

“Great” I smiled back “I love youuuu”
“Love you too, have fun!” I heard him say before I shut the door and left. I walked past our house and saw a cab in front of it. As I was getting closer I saw her leaning on the car talking on her phone.
“Yes, three tea spoons of it” she explained slowly “Yes, into the nursing bottle”she said. Like she was talking to a little child “Yes, you gotta boil it before, Harry” she sighed and held the phone away from her ears just to give me two kisses on the cheeks. She looked good too, wearing a white strapless shirt with a black high-waist skirt and high heels.

“Alright” she sighed again “Well, deal with it, Haz. Gotta go, love ya” and she hung up. How cute…

“What was it?” I asked while getting into the cab.

“He’s left alone with Lux” Liv let out a laugh “And he doesn’t really know what to do with such a stubborn and hysteric little girl” she said. Haha- I laughed in my mind thinking about how similar she was to Lux though they weren’t related. Stubborn. Hysteric. And adorable for sure.

“He can handle it” I assured her though I wasn’t sure myself.
“I hope so” she smiled at me “You look amazing, S” and the cab left off to the club.

The night started to get late but we definitely had fun dancing around or sitting on a couch in a separated room to gossip a bit. I found it weird that Matty hadn’t called or texted me. So I decided to send him a txt saying everything was fine. I was looking for my phone but I couldn’t find it. I must have forgotten it at home.

“Hey girls” I heard someone saying behind us “Can we buy you a drink?” I saw two guys staring at us. Before I could object, one of the boys already ordered four drinks. They sat next to us on the couch. One of them took a seat next to Liv, the other one sat right next to me.
“Hey. I’m Dave. Can I have your name, sweetie?” he asked me with a charming smile. He was wearing a grey shirt with light jeans. He had a great figure- but far not as good as Matty’s. His hair was in a quaff and it suited him.

“Sophie” I nodded with a shy smile on my face as I saw him checking me out.

“Beautiful name for a beautiful girl, huh?” he kept on smiling at me. We downed our drinks as we were talking. He seemed to be kind of nice but I had an idea where this whole night was leading us, and I didn’t like it at all. As I finished my drink, I found another one in front of me.

“No, thanks. I’ve had enough” I pushed the glass away from me and I faced David’s gaze.

“C’mon, honey. You’ve only had two. Get wild” he winked at me placing his large hands on my back. And I gave in, I took a sip from my cosmopolitan and put the glass down. I felt a hand touching my shoulder and turned around to see Liv’s face in front of mine.

“Matty’s here” she said shortly.

“What?” my eyes widened . Why would’ve he been here?
“Matty is here. He’s sitting at the bar” she kept saying “He’s with Tony so I don’t know if he’s here to watch over you or just a coincidence” my look wandered towards the bar and saw him. Liv was right, Matty was here with Tony. And with that girl- Nina. I let a heavy sigh leave my mouth as I watched them. I didn’t wanna say a word against Nina, she just… didn’t know how to keep her hands to herself. My eyes kept on widening as I watched her slowly sliding her hands on Matty’s forearm, then up on his neck. I took a huge sip from my cocktail and feeling my heavy buzz- which was caused by the taken drinks- I found myself right beside Dave. He took my hands and pulled me up. He walked me to the dance floor and placed his hands on my back- maybe a bit lower than he should have. He kept telling me jokes and telling stories. He’s just said something but the club’s noise had gone louder and I wasn’t paying attention anyways, I was busy thinking about what Matty was doing here.

“What?” I asked leaning closer to David. He leaned closer too, I could feel his breath on my ears.

“Said, I’ve just realized where I know you from” he almost shouted into my ears “You’re dating Matty McKibben, aren’t you? My sister’s a big fan of him. She always says that you’re the luckiest girl on Earth!”

“Yeah, I get that a lot” I laughed but it didn’t take long until his lips met my ears again.

“Well, I think McKibben is the luckiest, having such an amazing girlfriend like you” he said with a smirk on his face. Oh, no.

“Oh, shut up” I tried to avoid the things that were supposed to follow this scene. I let out a laugh and pushed him a bit away. It didn’t mean a thing, he leant towards my face again, his warm breath touching my ears. But before he could say a thing, he pulled away. In that very moment I could feel two strong hands on my waist. I turned my head to see Matty standing right behind me. His gaze didn’t let go of mine.

“We’re leaving. Now, let’s go” he said in his low voice which meant that he was mad. He grabbed my hands and dragged me from the bar straight towards the door.

“Matty!” I yelled because he held my hand too tightly it almost hurt.

“So this is what you’re doing when you go out?!” he snapped turning towards me.

“No” I said after a short pause.

“I was watching you for minutes! I was watching you as he ran his hands all over you and whispered into your ears!” he said louder than usual. I could tell he was mad like hell. Like never before.

“What was he telling you, huh?” he continued “That he wants to take you home with him?”

“No. He said that he recognized me” I said trying to stay as calm as I could. Matty grabbed my hands again and pulled me towards the car.

“Don’t lie to me! You have any idea how pissed off I am right now?! I’ve just seen some random dude put his hands all over my girl… And you let him! So don’t fucking mess with me. What the hell was he telling you?!”

I stopped him as we got next to the car. I placed my hands on his chest to stop him.

“I’m not lying. That’s what he said. That he recognized me, he knew that I was dating you. And he said that his sister was obsessed with you. That’s all” I said adding “I swear”
“Get in the car” he told me in his angry voice.

“Matty, pl-“ I began but he shut me down.

“Get in the car. Now” and so did he. I had nothing to do but getting in the car. He drove off the road keep looking straight forward.
“What else did he say to you?” he asked me with his normal voice. Thank God, he calmed down- at least I thought so. I didn’t know what to say, so I just stayed in silence.

“Answer me!” he yelled slamming his hands on the wheel “What was he telling you when you pushed him away? Because you only do that if you’re embarrassed. If someone tells you a compliment. He was calling you beautiful, wasn’t he?” he asked. I saw him looking at me in the corner of my eyes. I swallowed hard, looking over at him. He was totally right, he knew me too much. Matty brought one of his hands from the wheel, placing his elbow on the arm rest, and put a finger resting it above his lips, and his thumb on his cheek.

“It’s nice to know that I can fucking trust my girlfriend when she goes out” he growled.

“Babe, it was the first and last time and I’m sorry” I breathed out “I swear!”

“Save it, Sophie. I’m way too mad now” he shook his head. But I wasn’t planning to shut up.

“I know you are. But it’s not fair that you’re being this cold to me. Yes, I messed up and I’m sorry about it. I couldn’t hear what he was saying so I had to lean closer to him as he repeated. And yes, he did call me gorgeous, but it didn’t mean a thing. Especially not from a stranger at the bar” I said with self-coincidence. Matty still didn’t say a word. He was acting like a child whose toy got taken away.

“You know what?” I asked “It’s pathetic that you’re acting like this since I gotta deal with seeing you with girls all the time” I burst out. Matty began to slow down the car.

“Told you there would be girls fooling around me, back when we began dating” he said. I knew he meant the girls who were obsessed with him and the series he played in.

“I’m not talking about that” I murmured.

“You’re talking about Nina, aren’t you?” he asked looking at me for a second.

“It hurts, doesn’t it?” I said looking back at him, and then down on my legs “Seeing someone having their hands on someone you’re dating?” I hissed.

“So that’s it, huh?” he asked shaking his head “Payback? You wanted me to see it, didn’t you?”

“Yeah” I nodded. And we drove home in silence.

Matty wasn’t saying a word and I wasn’t willing to either. As we got home, I got out of the car and ran up straight into the bathroom. I wasn’t mad, I was rather sad. I slid down the wall and sit on the floor in our bathroom upstairs and I heard Matty switching on the TV in the living room downstairs. Seriously, he was going to watch TV after all this crap tonight? I felt like I was going to cry. I got rid of my heels and threw them away, towards the bath tub. I buried my face in my hands and I slowly felt warm teardrops streaming down my cheeks. I was hurt and Matty didn’t care at all. Now he was acting like his heart had gotten torn apart- pathetic.

I have no idea how long I’ve been locked in the bathroom but as the time passed by, I got sleepy and I had to get out. By the time I opened the door, I couldn’t hear the TV’s noise anymore. He must have gone to bed already. I had to get some water before so I went down in the kitchen. I got surprised when I saw the lights on in the kitchen. I even saw a lit candle on the dining table. And two plates with two glasses. I took a look at the clock hanging on the wall. It was 1:20 am. What the hell was going on here?

“Welcome to McKibbens’s Kitchen” I heard a well-known voice coming from the oven.

“What?” I asked and wiped my eyes. The sight of Matty wearing my pink apron (decorated with strawberries) made me smile.

“Made some pancakes for you” he smiled proudly as he placed a huge plate fulfilled with pancakes, right onto the table.

“What are you doing, Matty?” I asked still without any clue why he was doing it.

“Listen” he sighed as he took the apron off himself “I know I was overreacting. But I couldn’t help it. I’m sorry about my behave, I just… It was killing me to see you with another guy. Maybe he didn’t want anything from you- though I certainly doubt that- but it was still awful. You’re all mine. I can’t let anyone else… be near you, ya know? Just doesn’t feel right”

As he was speaking, I was stuck right where I was standing. He did care about me.

“And I’m really really sorry about Nina. She’s like this, always has been. But I don’t care about her at all. She’s nice to talk with- once in a lifetime but nothing else. You know that I like my fans but either of them are like you” he walked up to me and wrapped his hands around my waist “I love you with all I have. You’re the one I wanna wake up in the morning and I wanna fall asleep with you in my bed. No one else”
“Good. Cause I kinda feel the same, you know” I smiled and stepped on my tip-toe just to reach him for a kiss. It was sweeter this time. Or maybe I was just feeling so- because I needed him.

“I’m sorry that I ruined your night” he scraped the back of his neck.

“You didn’t” I assured him as I pressed my lips against his once more.

It didn’t take long to eat all of the pancakes- which tasted amazing though Matty had made them. Anyways, Matty could do only two meals. Toast and pancakes. So he was good at these two. Whatever. We both changed into PJ’s- Matty put on a boxer and I slept wearing one of M’s t-shirts. They were more comfortable than anything else. We crawled into the bed, facing each other. Our foreheads almost touching. He slowly took my hand and placed it on his bare chest.

“Hear that?” he asked almost whispering.

“Yes” I said with a smile.

“That’s for you.. it beats for you” he said giving a kiss on my forehead. I kept smiling, and I could feel a tear forming in my eyes. I grabbed his hand, placing it on my heart.

“And this beats for you as well…it’s still beating because of you” I said. He gripped my wrist, and brought it to his lips.

“I swear babe, one day…I’m going to marry you” he said, smiling, kissing my nose.

Every time I had his arms wrapped around me, I fall asleep within minutes. It wasn’t different this time either.

              Matty's P.O.V.

Sophie and I were planning to spend the New Year’s Eve at her place- since her parents were supposed to be away. We agreed to invite Harry and Liv as well and we could have celebrated the first day of 2014 together. It would’ve been just a simple private party for us. Drinking some champagne, eating Chinese food and playing immature games.

Now, here I was alone. Well, not totally alone. I was at a friend’s house party on New Year’s Eve with quite a lot of people around. The music was really loud, plenty of people were dancing all around and I still felt alone. Actually, Harry was here with me but about half an hour ago he got a call from his 17 years-old sister and had to leave to grab her and take her home. I was just standing in a corner holding my red cup in my hands and couldn’t stop thinking about Sophie.

“I should be there with her right now” I thought to myself and downed my cup that was filled with beer.

“But I can only blame myself. It’s my fault that I’m not celebrating with her. I was the dumb here” I kept on thinking about my damn actions. I hurt her and now I would give anything to change the past. But I can’t. We were practically taking a break- because I told her that she was not giving me enough space. What a dumbass movement was it from me?! Oh, my God. I can’t believe I did that. What the hell got into me?!
“Hey there, handsome” a voice came up from all of a sudden. I shook my head and got back to reality. There was a young and quite pretty girl standing in front of me, wrapping one of her hands around my neck. Just from the way she spoke I could tell that she was already wasted.

“You wanna play?” she asked me and slowly let her hands slide down on my shoulders and my chest. Her voice was irritating. I grabbed her hands and shook them off me.

“I have a girlfriend” I spoke up with confident. I knew it was not exactly true but I just wanted her to get away from me.

“It’s OK for me” she winked at me and took a step closer to me.

“But not for me. And you’ve drunk way too much. Guess you need some coffee” I told her and took her hand in mine. I walked her out to the kitchen and poured some coffee for her. I handed her the cup and waited as she downed it. We were sitting in the kitchen in silence for a few minutes.

“Thank you” she nodded “And.. Sorry for my behave” she apologized in a low voice.

“No problem, girl. Things can happen” I nodded and pressed my back to the fridge.

“Can I ask you something?” she asked me nicely.

“Sure”
“Where is your girlfriend?” she blushed at me.

“Well” I sighed “I screwed it up and now we’re not celebrating together” I told her while itching the back of my neck.
“Sorry about that” she put down her cup “She’s lucky to have you as her boyfriend, anyways”
“I am the lucky one here” I whispered, mostly just for myself. I just realized how much I missed her “I gotta go now”
“Go ahead, get her back!” she smiled at me and now she seemed to be absolutely kind.

“Right. And you-“ I winked at her “Don’t have any more shots!” and I just ran towards the front door grabbing my coat on the way and left.

It was cold outside so I had to put on my scarf as well. I took a look at my watch as I was waiting at the bus station one block away from where I’ve been to the party. It was 23:44.

“Shit” I murmured to myself knowing that the next bus is gonna arrive in 6 minutes. And with that one I would definitely get to Sophie’s place long after midnight. I couldn’t afford it. I had to get there in time. I needed her so bad. What else to do, I called a cab. Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait so much, it arrived in 2 minutes and the driver was really fast on the way to Sophie’s. At least until we got two blocks far from her. There we bumped into a horrible traffic jam and it didn’t seem like we could get keep moving.
“Well, thanks for the ride” I handed a 10 dollars bill to the driver and I was about to get out of the cab.

“I really hope you can catch your girl” he added before I shut the door.

“Thank you” I smiled at him. Was it that obvious? How did he know about my story? I haven’t told him a word. Whatever, I didn’t have any time to deal with that, it was already 23:56. I just took a look around to realize where I was and since I had nothing else to do, I began to run. Thousands of thoughts began to appear in my mind while I was running like it was do or die. I loved her so much and I didn’t wanna miss a chance to be with her. I knew how important this midnight kiss was for every girl- and now it became important to me as well. How the hell could I say a bad word for her? I didn’t really need any more time apart from her- things were going good just as they were, there was no need for a change. 23:58 and I was still one block away. As I was racing against the blowing wind I felt the snow slapping me in the face but I didn’t care. All I cared about was to get to her house in time. I wanted to feel her perfect lips pressing against mine, her soft hair between my fingers, her tiny hands on the back of my neck. Then suddenly a thought popped up in my head: What if she’s not even home?... What if she decided to go out tonight? But I already forgot this idea since Harry came to the party with me because Sophie wanted to be with Liv tonight. And knowing these two, they must be at home. At least, I was hoping so…

The streets of Beverly Hills were covered with snow and ice but I just kept running. I had only one minute left and I could already see her residence. I loved every part of the huge house and I know every tiny place of it as well. But I had no time to think about how beautiful it looked with all of its lights. I only knew that I had to give all my strength to run until the front door. I could feel my cheeks turning red as the wind kept blowing into my face but I didn’t care. As soon as I reached the door I rang the bell and waited. I saw the lights turned on in the house which meant that someone was definitely at home. I could feel my heart beating faster as I saw a figure coming towards the glass door.
“Hi” I breathed out as I saw Liv standing in the doorstep looking at me with her I-could-kill-you gaze.

“Sophie?” she cried out to call my gorgeous girl, then she turned back towards me “If you hurt her next time, I won’t even let you in” she added whispering. I nodded and as she stepped out of my way and let me walk inside. I immediately saw Sophie standing next to the couch in the living room. She was beautiful- as always. She had jeans on with a white knitted sweater. Her hair lazily in a bun on the top of her head.

“Why are you-“ she was going to ask me but I left her no time but grabbed the back of her neck and pressed my lips against hers.
“…zero! Happy New Year, everyone!” I heard a woman’s voice coming from the TV. OMG, I did it! Though I could barely breathe, I made it in time.

“I’m sorry, babe” I whispered as I let go of her “I don’t need any more time apart from you”
“You did hurt me, you know that?” she asked looking up into my eyes. Hell, of course I knew that.

“I know and I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what was wrong with me. The only thing I know is that I need you” I said brushing some hair out of her face and kissed her forehead.

“Next time it happens, I will-“ she began but I interrupted with a smile on my face.

“I know, Liv already told me about it. But I promise, there will be no next time” I assured her.

“Pinkie promise?” she asked with the same smile on her face. He held out her pinkie.
“Pinkie promise” I replied and hooked my pinkie with hers. I leant over a bit just to pull her in for another kiss. Oh God, how much I’ve missed her!
“Hello, lovebirds” Liv ruined out moment by waving at us “I’m happy you’re fine again. Now, champagne?” she handed us two glasses. We toasted “Cheers!” and downed our glasses.

“Well, I’m leaving you two alone now” Liv said putting on her coat.

“Where are you going?” Sophie asked surprised.
“To Harry’s. I suppose you wanna be alone now. I’m not needed” she winked at us. She said goodbye and left quite quickly.
After a few minutes, Sophie and I were laying on the couch, watching ‘New Year’s Eve’ on TV eating Chinese food. I slowly wrapped my arm around her and held her as close to my body as possible.
“I love you to the moon and back” I whispered into her ears and gave a tiny kiss on her cheek.

“I love you too. Always have, always will” she whispered back and rested her head on my shoulder. In that very moment I knew I would never let her go again.
